God has his funny ways...

I call this the "Dan Brown" moment cos if you read his books, the culprit/evil mastermind is always someone who is within the hero's grasp all the time but doesn't realise it till the end of the story.

this is a real story btw!

Taxi-driver's own goal

A taxi driver unwittingly became the getaway driver for a thief who had just burgled his home.

Mr Shen, of Huainan city, picked up the passenger at a bus stop at around 3am, reports Xin'an Evening Post.

"He had a lot of home appliances, so I helped him put all of his things into the cab," he said.

"I noticed he had a fish without a tail, and I thought how much it looked like the fish in my freezer at home. But then I laughed at myself for even having the thought."

The passenger said he had just returned from a trip to his home town and had been dropped off by a long distance bus.

Mr Shen only realised the truth when he later returned home to find his house broken into and his possessions - including the tail-less fish - missing.

Police later arrested a 56-year-old man who faces charges of burglary and theft.

Sorry for not posting a proper entry for a long time.... i've been busy with work, and trying to consolidate things. hehe I promise a post will be up soon!

2 magnificient years~

These few days have been so hectic, that i hardly had time to blog. yikes. who would have known that a year 4 still has to slog it out like the rest of the rats? We should be on our pedestal, awaiting a grand march into nonstudental (not even a real word) life. Fick. nevermind! it's my FINAL lap. the checkered flag has been waved. time to turn on my turbonucleurfabbydabbyshicklemynipple engines!!

ANYWAYS things have happened over the past few days... firstly, shermeen and i marked our 2nd year together on March 15th!! Woohooo! Well, for me, it's not a big deal cos anyway i intend to be with her for a much much longer time than that. at least until i get my sex change. KIDDING. But anyhow yeah i think the 2 year mark is a time for me to look back at our relationship... and what a journey it has been. She's been through so much with me... and I'm really a lucky guy. I love you dear. Here's to many more crazy-cackling, dog-tripping, nipple-pinching, nose-pressing, butt-shaking, movie-watching, food-hunting, comic-reading years ahead!!

On a side note, I have begun a healthy diet regime. I am determined! The strength in me is resilient! I shall only eat meat 2 days within a week. and the meat shall not be deep fried. Deep fried stuff only allowed once per week! Vegetables and fruits everyday! It's just so hard cos it's not easy finding nice tasting food with no meat. hahaha. maybe i'm just bloody greedy. I wonder how long my healthy diet regime is gonna last me before i give in to the serpent of gluttony. hahaha.

There comes a time when one needs to be random.

It's official. After a grand total of 10 votes in my poll, i am convinced i look like a Korean. So from now on, i'll have a Korean name. But a nice one. Like Bae Hiao Bai. or Park Yor Kar. Maybe Yoo Anh Mee. hahah

In other news, i was hosting at Tangs just last night. Hosted along side Power 98 DJ for a little while. Was pretty honoured. =)

Oh and i caught this Lion 'stoning' ...

I never thot i'd say this, but i'm now a convert. I have turned to the aesthetics and the fun-side of Mac. I have effectively secured a deal with this guy (who intends to sign up for singtel broadband, of which he'll rcv a free macbook) for $1400. A STEAL! woohooo! Now all i need is to sell my current lappie. If u know of anyone who wants a one year old compaq presario, windows vista, 1.73 Ghz and 1.5GB ram for $900.... pls let me know! It's in VERY good condition.

=) hope everyone had a happy weekend~

Let the good times roll!

The past few days have been rather exciting...

starting from Waikiki @ Sentosa.... had loads of fun with my team, the "bruebellys"!! oh and we played bossaball too!! it's this cool new game played on this inflated volleyball court! So damn fun! couldn't stop bouncing around! almost started singing gummy bears theme song.

<-- Then on monday I performed @ chinatown... for some SECRET event /program to which i am sworn to secrecy. just wanted to show the outfit i was wearing! So farnie! i was actually trying to learn the real way to sit from the ah peks around the temple. hahah

On tuesday evening, attended SMUBE's AGM. although i must say that the mouth-watering hotel rendezvouz catered food was a BIG pulling factor for me to attend... in the end, i just got so damn high seeing my old friends like Gayle, Wanida, Alvina, Eunice, XP... and my fellow old birds like LN, Heyuan, jeremy, jiahui etc... aiyah so many of u! u know who u are! Miss them soooo much.

And i want to thank Chloe, my dearest successor 1 year back, who has in turn now stepped down to make way for the next WARhead. Great job, girl. u can see how happy i was for ya. Ur bubbly nature is something that will stay with BE forever. Once a WARrior, always a WARrior!

Now, back to the topic about the hotel rendezvouz food. (think i'll call it rendez-food. hahaha) it was gooooood. gave me a high too, as many of my friends there would testify. hahah. i'm gonna bring my gf there soon i hope!

Bumped into Uncle Andrew today too. It's so nice seeing the guy who gave me great comfort and support and laughter since i was a freshie... he's really like an uncle or godfather to me.

And GAWD. if i got paid a dollar for evertime someone says i resemble Adrian Pang, i'll be retiring even before i start working! For the last time, HE is trying to be like ME. not the other way round! hahaha

Overall, a great day with a solid smile plastered on my face!

Of hits and misses!

GOALLLLL!!!!! those were the screams during our little supper at Simpang Bedok as we were treated to a lovely Man U performance, who trashed Newcastle 5 - 1. Delicious food, nice spicy BBQ stingray, some tea and 'ice limau ice limau ice', some quirky moments and a big serving of friendship! i really love supper time. it's a great time to relax and chat about life...

and of cos there's always time for funny photos!!

In this photo, i was doing my impression of one of the dishes one the menu. and the one i chose was "Old Timer Fish & Chips". yeah baby.... i think i pretty much nailed it! hhehee

Right. In this one, we were assigned different numbers, and we were supposed to show it in our own style. hehehe. yeap... our brain degenerated as we descended later into the night...

Oh and speaking of photos, earlier in the day i tried my hand at photography! Used Elvin's Digital SLR... hahaha well all i can say is that i have better talents in other areas. hahaha

Huixin decided to live up to her reputation after being voted best dressed frujchaholic... showcasing the latest addition to her wardrobe: A trash bag.

Played soccer on sunday morn, after a LOOOONG break from it (since tennis and badminton occupied my weekends). It was a great feeling again... had so much laughter round the court. BUT as usual, my terrible physical fitness was revealed as i had to bail out towards the end, suffering from a cramped calf. hahaha.
And on this glorious return to soccer-dom, i was showered with gifts!! Like a nasty collision that left a bump on my head, and a soccer ball rammed right into my face. hhahaha ahhhhhh good times....~

GOOD NEWS! I'm gonna be an uncle!!! My eldest brother revealed that my sis-in-law is pregnant!!! wheee! I should be an uncle by october or november this year! AND MORE GOOD NEWS! my 2nd brother also announced that he's planning to get married in december! Woohooo! Double Happiness, so they say. hahaha. This really is the year where everything changes.

Well... the week ahead is going to be very tough for me. i just hope it all goes well. Sigh. i dunno what else to say abt it, except it's the one thing that's weighing my mood down... despite such an eventful weekend.

PS: A big 'konichiwa' to mellies! hope ure having fun in Japan! Sugoiiiiii!

This Wacky World~

I would usually read out these stories on my radio show "This Wacky World" on SMU campus Radio, but since i'm not with them no more, i guess this is where i could share the stories with you guys:

This story further proves my theory that a man is most vulnerable and agitated when taking a piss. PLEASE don't even try talking to a guy who's pissing.

Man punched over urinal etiquette

A New Zealander ended up in court after punching a man over a breach of urinal etiquette.

Edward Aldridge, 47, punched his victim twice after he used the urinal next to him in a pub in Christchurch.

Aldridge accused his victim of looking at him, reports Metro.

Speaking in his defence, counsel Liz Bulger said: "This incident arose from what I understand to be urinal etiquette.

"When the victim spoke to the defendant he was effectively smirking. The defendant was outraged."

Sentencing Aldridge to 50 hours of community service, Judge Raoul Neave said: "This is exactly the sort of behaviour that makes people afraid to go to town."

And this is for you ladies out there~ *wink*

High heels 'improve sex life'

Wearing higher heels may improve women's sex life, according to an Italian doctor.

Dr Maria Cerruto says 2ins high heels can help improve pelvic floor muscles, reports the BBC.

Dr Cerruto, a urologist and self-professed lover of high heels, set out to prove they were not as bad for women's health as some suggest.

Her study of 66 women under 50 found those who held their foot at a 15 degree angle to the ground - the equivalent of a two inch heel - had as good posture as those who wore flat shoes.

And, crucially, they showed less electrical activity in their pelvic muscles suggesting they were at an optimum position, which could improve their strength and ability to contract.

Pelvic floor muscles assist sexual performance and satisfaction, and also provide vital support to the pelvic organs, which include the bladder, bowels and uterus.

But they often weaken after pregnancy and childbirth, and as women get older.

Dr Cerruto said: "Women often have difficulty in carrying out the right exercises for the pelvic zone and wearing heels could be the solution.

"Like many women, I like high-heeled shoes," she added. "It's good to know they have potential health benefits."

After reading that, if any of you girls suddenly have the inspiration for getting high heels, lemme know! i've got a Pretty Fit discount card. (don't look at me like that. it's actually a beetle bug card too!)

and this is a story you can really sink ur teeth into:

Lawyer 'bit colleague's breast'

A Hungarian lawyer is facing court action after he bit a female colleague's breast at a civic dinner.

Laszlo Papp, 32, head lawyer for the Mayor's Office in Gyor, reportedly told attractive Imola Kovac, 26: "I don't fancy my chicken breast - I think I'll try yours instead."

The mayor described his lawyer's actions as a joke but Kovac did not see the funny side and has now launched legal action against him for sexual assault.

She said: "I am taking legal action because I do not think biting a colleague's breasts is appropriate behaviour for a civil servant."

Gee... you think? and this also reminds all you swimming coaches out there to not try to be funny when teaching your female students the "breast stroke".

Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008!

Well well... here we are... finally, it's 2008! what a year it has been for 2007... I've been through quite a lot during the year. It wasn't my favourite year, but it's one to be remembered, still.

My new year's countdown wasn't spectacular. I don't really like crowds anyway. So after having dinner with my parents and their friends at Jurong Country Club, i went back home to play wii with malik and chao (again)... hahaha. It was a nice, cosy, funny session. We turned on the TV just before midnight to see the countdown... and after it was done, one of the hosts was in the crowd asking the people about their resolutions. One particular guy made a fool of himself. this is how it went:

Host: alright i'm here with some crazy people in the crowd. let me ask them... (turns to person next to him) so what are your new year resolutions?

Guy A: Mohammad Rahimi here!

Host: Sorry?

Guy A: Mohammad Rahimi here!

Host: Alright, cool! (turns to someone else) so what are YOur resolutions for the new year?

...
Hahahahaha how embarrasing!!! gosh i wouldn't wanna be in his shoes. hahaha what a way to start the new year! Anywayssss so yeah i was thinking about my new year resolutions. There are quite a few i wanna accomplish in 2008...

1) Save the Earth: Now i know global warning and climate change are the 2 most over-used terms of the year.... but it's a serious matter. more serious than the hollywood scriptwriters' guild protests that resulted in a premature conclusion of Heroes season 2.

So here's what i'm gonna do to play my part.
I'm gonna use the re-usable bags when i go grocery shopping. if u think about it, how many plastic bags are used by just one trip to the supermarket? 5, maybe? then the next time u go there u use another 5. Why not just use one re-usable bag? If everyone uses it, it would be a HUGE benefit to the environment.

Next i'm gonna reduce the usage of my air-conditioning. I'm an addict to sleeping with the air-con switched on. So i'm gonna change. I'm only gonna switch it on if it's just too darn warm. Also, it's proven that sleeping too often with air-conditioning is bad for your lungs. so yeah. Kill 2 stones with one bird. (?) hmmm.

2) I'm gonna start being nicer to my dog, Chloe. Looking at it, she doesn't have much longer to live. She's been coughing and having several seizures. She's been with me for 12 - 13 years. I want her final moments with me to be good.

3) Learn something new: like a language (preferably Japanese), musical instrument (my guitar which i regret neglecting for some time), or sport (probably wakeboarding or something cheaper)

4) Read more: Books, newspapers, magazines, comics. There's just so much to know about our world in such a short time!

5) Be a better person. Cos the only thing perfect about me, is my eyesight. Heh. Nobody can be perfect. Doesn't mean they shouldn't try. haha.
Oh well, tt's abt it. This is the year that my life will change... and i hope it's for the better! Happy new year to all my friends! love u guys much!

More cool Japanese Stuff!

Now we all have established that Japan is one WACKY country... I was recording for my Campus Radio Show (into my 11th week now... so for those of you who haven't listened to it yet, i'm disappointed. hahha)... and the topic was about Inventions. According to my girlfriend, the Japanese are crazy with inventions... so after doing some research, she was right! check these out!

The Man Breasts are just gross. And as for the other one... wouldn't the chopsticks be heavy?

This picture left me speechless.

But this one takes the cake. Suction helmet thingie. I'm sure you can see what it's used for. I personally felt that this invention was very useful, especially if it's used in S'pore too! I mean, ever so often, we have people dozing off on the train, and it would be quite embarrasing if the one next to you dozed off with his head on your shoulder. haha...
In my SBM class, there's this Japanese Exchange student and he was learning mandarin. He moved over to me and said in chinese "I will make you happy..."... I freaked out, but i realised he was just trying to see if i understood. hahaha. I then went on to teach him how to say "I want to eat your tofu" and "I want to make love to you" in mandarin as well. Muahahahah. He says he has aspirations to get a chinese gf. hahaha.

Spare me my life!

I posted something about a japanese exercise video before... i only put the link there, but since i've learnt to embed the video onto my blog, i might as well! so here it is once again for your enjoyment! hahaha!

The (Red) Devil's Advocate

This would be my 1st sports-related entry. I watched bits and pieces of the the match between my beloved Manchester United and Middlesborough. And as of all Man U fans out there, our hearts sang gleefully as Man U once again put up a dazzling display of world-class, dazzling soccer... brushing Middlesborough aside 4-1. It's the 4th consecutive time that Man U has scored 4 goals... But it's not the goals that impress me. It's their confidence and brand of attacking football. It's such joy to watch.
This is a lead-up to their match against League leaders Arsenal next weekend. What a titanic battle in the horizon. Arsenal, who have been God-like in their football, might prove too much for Manchester United to handle. At the moment, the gunners look like they can do no wrong. But one (or 2) season ago, it took Man U to stop Chelsea's formidable form. Can they do it the same to Arsenal? and once again restore equilibrium in favour of themselves, the rightful rulers? We'll find out. Just so u know, i'm prepared for a Man U loss. anything else is a bonus. Nevertheless, i'll always be proud of them.
Onto other stuff.
If you're a driver, you would agree with me that sometimes you encounter motorcyclists who are just suicidal on the roads. They zip past you, tailgate, squeeze into the smallest of gaps between vehicles... and they're always speeding! I mean, don't they realise that the slightest touch from another vehicle would send them flying? their bodies might be then deformed or shattered by the oncoming traffic? And for some reason, i get the feeling that they ENJOY these thrill rides of theirs. SURE. go ahead and live life as though the tragic deaths of other riders will never happen to them. Laugh while you do so. Just remember while you are airbourne, and about the hit the ground head-first, U ASKED FOR IT.

Excuse me, i need to go to the Flu.

Gee it's been sooo long since i last made an entry. Been so bogged down by work... and as you probably guessed by now, i was down with a flu. The culprit? Fried Food and snacks. Yeap the very things that keep us going when our days are tough... the very things that pick us up when we are down... turned out to be my nemesis in disguise. Oh how vile you are! Perish, you will when i recover. I will consume every one of you so that none of my other fellow human beings would have to suffer from your venom. Be gone!

Ehem. Right. Anyways My parents just came back from Chiang Mai 2 days ago! BOOOOOOo! now EVERYONE in my family has been to Thailand except me!!!! Sigh.

anyways i was looking through some videos my mum took at the Elephant park, and it's just so heartwarming to see how deep a connection the thais had with their elephants.

Oh she filmed the elephants playing soccer!! How Elephantastic! And it's not some clumsy elephant tripping over a ball you know... the elephant could actually take a penalty kick! So cool!

And here's a picture that the elephant painted!!! Ain't that amazing?! I'm telling ya. Animals are taking over the world. High time they did. And when they do, i just want them to know that i'm on their side. muahaha.

On another note:

Just read from the news today that Singapore's trying to more gender equal when it comes to sexual abuse cases. So that means that guys can claim sexual harrasment as much as girls can. HAh!! finally! so you girls who have been trying to hit on me, WATCH OUT! muahahaha. Just because you don't exist doesn't mean i can't sue you!!

Cheeky Business

Today while on my way to class, i stopped by Kopitiam to get my lunch from the economical rice stall. This is what i experienced:

This non-chinese guy (i think he's malay) who was serving someone else, was just mimicking his chinese colleagues by adressing the customer as 'shuai ge' (handsome guy), then laughing to himself about it, and after that he went on by asking "hai you leh?" (anything else?)... and STILL chuckling to himself. It was just interesting watching him.

Then when i proceeded to pay for my food, i asked the cashier to give me a pair of chopsticks as well. He cheekily said "chopsticks add 20 cents". I said something along the lines of "NO WAYyyy"... and he replied "YES WAY"... and the he smiled. He was kidding, of cos. hahaha

Thinking abt it, it was so lame. but somehow, i walked away from that store smiling. Something abt that made me feel good. That's the power of service. it's the little things. haha

Wise man says: Fruit that has flown a thousand miles will burn hole in pocket.

Wow it's been a long time since i updated! woops! sorry folks! Think i've been too busy recently. Well let's see, what's there to update on... Oh yes i went for lunch with shermeen and her family on sunday (14th oct) at Red Star Restaurant... Apparently they have quite good dim sum!

That's sherms with her favourite dim sum of all time: the chestnut cake thingie. See, it's so important to her that i don't know what it's called. Wait... that didn't make sense. *sheepish* hehe sorry dear!

We then proceeded to Liang Court to shop around... we first went to kinokuniya, then to the supermarket in basement 1, called Meidi-Ya... They have imported Japanese foods there... what totally blew my mind was the prices. check it out:

Exhibit A

Rockmelon: $89.90
Man. That certainly rocked MY melons. Hmmm. that sounded wrong.

Exhibit B

Siew Pek Chye: $8.90
And that's even before cooking it with garlic and soy sauce.

But i DID enjoy the lovely Japanese ice-cream!! YUMMY. They had flavours like sweet potato, and black sesame (the same thing u get from tang yuan)! and oh their melon flavour was good too! I swear the best things in life come from Japan.

Other japanese products i'm looking to acquire in the near future:
Nintendo Wii!!!
A new Sony Camera
More Japanese Ice cream

So anyways. Sherms, nab, shal, Erfen and myself went to Shal's place to watch The Producers AGAIN. We enjoyed it once more... laughed quite a lot. Keep it light, keep it fun, keep it gay!!
Oh before that we went to Geylang Surai to buy some malay goodies for dinner! Man, i wish i could live in a pasar malam!

Okie dokie... back to my busy life. ugh i so need a haircut. that's like so random. just like how i love men's lifestyle magazines.

Jonny Angel: the Master Illusionist...

Learned this new trick online! check it out!

COOOL... hahaha... ok lah NOT THAT AMAZING LAH. Somehow Chris Angel seemed so much cooler when he was doing it. Must be the hair.

I've always wanted to be a magician actually. But i'm very bad at performing tricks. most of the time i always give the secret away while performing it. Sigh.

Oh hey David Copperfield's coming to S'pore on the 2nd & 3rd Nov! anyone wanna go watch him?? He's a legend, man! Remember when he made the Statue of Liberty 'disappear'? Respect, yo.

Some 'SHOCKING' news...

I was doing some research for my radio show and chanced upon this piece of quirky news... i guess it really 'struck' me. hehehe

Biker's penis hit by lightning

A Croatian motorbiker's penis was zapped by lightning as he stopped beside the road to take a leak.

Ante Djindjic, 29, from Zagreb, said: "I don't remember what happened. One minute I was taking a leak and the next thing I knew I was in hospital.

"Doctors said the lightning went through my body and because I was wearing rubber boots it earthed itself through my penis."

Djindjic, who suffered light burns to his chest and arms, added: "Thankfully, the doctors said that there would be no lasting effects, and my penis will function normally eventually."

Hey, for all you know, this would literally charge up his sex life. His gf would be electrified.

I also came across this website about how to talk like a pirate... and here's a common pirate lingo defined:

Arrr! - This one is often confused with arrrgh, which is of course the sound you make when you sit on a belaying pin. "Arrr!" can mean, variously, "yes," "I agree," "I'm happy," "I'm enjoying this beer," "My team is going to win it all," "I saw that television show, it sucked!" and "That was a clever remark you or I just made." And those are just a few of the myriad possibilities of Arrr!

Well me matey, time for me to hit the ol' sack. Arrr...

Jonny the Riddler?

Today Corrine msgd me and desperately asked me for a riddle.... Hahah i thought she was going through tremendous stress that she needed some lame shit to calm her down... but apparently it's cos she needed to 'contribute a riddle' during her office party. Don't really know what that means, but I'm amazed that my riddles are recognized enough to be used in public/social settings. MUAHAHAH. i'm the king of the world! Soon, they will start putting my riddles into O level MCQs! then, the prime minister will use them in National Day Rallies! Maybe J.K. Rowling would write a book of " Harry Potter and the Riddle of Bewilderment". Next, philosophers would ponder over them, each coming up with their own interpretation that would spurn generations of followers... all of them brought down to their knees by questions that couldn't even make a hyena laugh. Such is the power... of the riddle. Heed my warning, and heed it well. hehehe

Just watched Bleach episode 141. So touching. and so saddening. It's always heart-wrenching to leave behind people you love so much, especially when the circumstances are unfair. What if you only could say goodbye (forever) to only ONE person in this whole world before you leave... and the worst part is that the person won't be able to hear or see you when you're saying farewell...

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Louis!!! thanks for being you. You're such a great guy. May all ur wishes come true! *MELODIC tune* hahahaha

Why did the robber pour ice over himself??
COs the policeman told him to "FREEZE!"

The Weekend Warrior strikes again!!

Yeap. The Weekend Warrior. That's what my girlfriend calls me. Do little to no exercise during the weekdays, then overexert myself on the weekends... then for the next whole week i'd be limping around due to my sore muscles or my minor injuries sustained during the exercises.

Saturday:

Went to play soccer (finally after who-knows-how-long) at redhill... the weather came crashing down midway thru our game, soaking us to the skin... but we still went ahead and played. Fortunately the sun came up again... so we didn't have to keep wiping our eyes to see where the ball was. I had a GREAT game! Very very fun. really took a toll on me though...

At night, sherms and i went for the $10 dance classes offered by Esplanade! the dance we learnt was Swing! hahah we were rather excited! Great thing that the class didn't disappoint! The male instructor was funny! Too bad i couldn't take any pics...

What a way to celebrate our 1.5-year anniversary!!! hahah happy anniversary darling!

Sunday:

Played tennis in the morning with Malik and Charlene at Jurong Country Club. It was their 1st time playing!! haha soooo fun! Too bad Chao couldn't make it cos his neck was painful... same problem last week. (but for some STRANGE reason he could play soccer just yesterday??)

Anyways the whole thing was really fun! Malik was learning really fast... and Charlene.. well.. she tried her best (as u can tell from the video, showing the early stages of their training). Hhahahaha. Looks like she's gonna have to stick to rollerblading. Hahaha.

Here are more pics of each of us... Charlene commented that in that pic she actually looked pro... although in reality she sucks. hahaha

Coolness! hope to get malik to play with me again sometime soon if possible! =)

Then at night, my family and I went to Newton Circus (Yes the place with all the seafood stall owners soliciting for business) for dinner! ATE SO DAMN MUCH! ughhh.

On the palates were hokkien mee, chicken wings, popiah, fried rice, satay, stringray, fish dumpling soup... and capping it off with burbur chacha.

here's a picture of my bros. It's a little blurred, but that's ok. Prevents SOMEONE from getting too excited over my big bro... (yes Faizal, talking abt you here.) hahahha

During the family dinner i was amused by things like how my Dad accidentally said "You should buy the internal antenna, not the OUTernal one..." Hahhahaa. I dunno. maybe he had an OUTerior motive in saying that.
And how every alternate stall was a seafood stall. No wonder they're so competitive for buisiness.
And there was a caucasion sitting by himself with an opened umbrella sheltering him while he feasted on his seafood...
My mum also suggested that we only take one car to newton circus, cos all of us could be "PUT IN" to Ivan's car. I was like "You think we're groceries or what??" Hahahha so cute.
And now... as expected, my body's really tired and aching... Don't be surprised to see me limping around school next week. hahaha.
Anyways for my dear friends who are overseas... Merry, Felicia, and Pamela... Hope u all are well!!! miss u girls already!! Please keep in touch!!

I see you baby... shaking that Jazz....

Singapore Jazz Orchestra played delightful music that filled the air last night during the U-square open air concert @ SMU. The female vocalist was pretty good too! she seemed to sing very effortlessly. I believe her name's Melissa or Michelle or something. Haha.

After that Tan Kheng Hua, who was in school to give a little talk to some students, came over to frujch to have her later dinner! Frujch was closing actually, but they still managed to squeeze in her last order of a rosemary chicken sandwich!

heard she was really happy with the place, and she might wanna come back. woohoo!

I met Eunice during the U-square concert... she was just passing by cos apparently she was evacuated from her office building. Apparently there were earthquake tremors that caused the building to sway. And she was too scared to take a bus to the MRT station, so she decided to walk instead. Were there tremors?? according to the papers there were. How is it that EVERYTIME there were tremors, I did not feel a single thing!??! hmmm. maybe i'm naturally swaying or vibrating. Must be.
Last night i had such a nightmare. I dreamt that i was being chased all over the streets by people in cars who wanna kill me... I dunno why!!! sigh. It's not the 1st time i had such a dream! some time back i dreamt that i was chased by a vampire on rollerblades!! Geez. What do you make of this? Are these dreams trying to tell me something? besides the fact that i'm hot property? Muhahahaa.
Anyways that nightmare kept my mind busy all night, so now i'm feeling like i never slept at all. Ugh. YAWN.

The Artist in me?

What an exhausting 'Dance: East and West' class. It was rather slow, and boring at times. No offence to anyone... but how i wish there would be something to spice up the class... the presentations by the groups were fine... it was the videos that bored me out.

In fact i got so bored that i started sketching on a piece of rough paper. Didn't know why i drew what i drew... just felt like it. It isn't even complete.

Got me to reminisce the days when i used to draw caricatures of people... I used to be pretty good at it. In fact i used to keep a portfolio of the drawings... that i think i have misplaced by now. Haha. Well that's something i would wanna resume soon. The things i never wanna lose touch of:

1) Baking

2) Drawing

3) Tennis

Just some of those random thoughts...

Sorry to all my inexistent blog fans about not updating my blog for so long! i've been rather busy...

I woke up one morning to some news on CNA, talking about how the populations of pandas and tigers are dwindling drastically over the past decade. They were attributed to us humans, who else? Which i totally agree. We humans, as a species, are murderers. It also got me to think about zoos. I don't really like the concept of animals in captivity. I mean, who are we to rob them from their natural habitat and put them in cages for our viewing pleasure?? If we wanna see a monkey, we should just bloody go to a forest and see it in its natural habitat... and in its full glory, swing from tree to tree while picking up a coconut along the way or something. That's what i call showing respect to the animal.

What if one day, the animals conspire to take revenge on us humans?? Hey it could happen. For all u know, the plan is brewing as we speak. The animals would start slaughtering us for our meat, making us plough their lands, bulldozing our HDBs so they can plant more trees, and for THEIR amusement's sake, capture us and put us into make-belief houses so they can observe us. Just like how we observe them in a zoo. Wow. animals taking over the world. Neat, i say. Then there would be human crossings, instead of zebra ones. There would be human banks instead of piggy ones. A human and keyboard instead of mouse and keyboard. Cats & Dogs will say "Wow it's raining men & women". hahhaa whatever the case is, i just don't feel its right to steal these animals' rights. They deserve to live on this planet as much as we do.

My friend Marvin sent me a link to a youtube video..and he said thru MSN that there was a major internet crash in USA, and all info were lost! I watched the entire video, and it was only towards the end that i convinced myself it was a spoof. Darn you, Marv! hahah almost fell for it. But what IF the internet really crashed and all the info inside vanished?? We'll all really be doomed. I could probably imagine some of us going into mourning, and maybe blame the terrorists too.

I watched Hairspray on saturday (i think)... and i absolutely loved it! For those of you who think i meant staring at a can of gatsby spray-on wax, Hairspray is actually a movie based on an American musical. The plot was simple, but the costumes, the music and dancing were so powerful that it almost compelled me to get up on my feet and start dancing right there and then. Now i understand all those Michael Jackson MTVs, where he starts dancing and everyone else starts to follow. Anyway speaking of movies... My friends who have watched Bourne Ultimatum have given their thumbs up for it. Sigh I don't think i'll be watching it w/o having watched the prequels. I heard they're coming up with a 4th Bourne show called "Bourne-dage", where Bourne discovers he's actually a sex pervert who like to tie women up and do kinky stuff... and a 5th show "Bourne-Appetit" where Bourne can't stop eating after discovering the wonders of dim sum.

Went to Tai Sun warehouse at Pandan Loop yesterday with Shermeen to buy some peanuts... The place is really ULU man. Like, it's in the middle of nowhere!! So after buying the peanuts, Sherms and i were dreading as to how we were going to get outta that place. I asked with a pleading voice... "How are we going to get a taxi?"... just then, like a knight in shining armour in a fairy tale, a Mercedes Taxi appeared!! We quickly flagged it down as we couldn't believe our luck. I think next time if i'm that lucky again, i should push it a little more. like, "How i wish i had a lifetime supply of zara clothes... ". Oh wait. I think i already have that. muahahha.

Oh one more thing. I've been eating loads of tapioca chips... been breaking wind like a spastic hairdryer. hehe
