This the weekend to be busy.... falalalala lalalala

I had a very eventful saturday... it first started off at Thomson plaza. I swear it's such an 'ulu' mall. it's so hard to get there! but i was surprised at the completeness of it! they have everything there! a supermarket, furniture place, boutique stores, restaurants, even pet shops! haha

anyway back to the topic... i started off the day being Santa!! hahah so cool!! and i had to speak like him too! "Ho Ho Ho! Meeerrry Christmas!"

It was a very touching experience for me. Kids would be so happy to see me... some came up to me and asked "Santa? can i have my presents this year?" Hahaha so adorable. I just love bringing smiles to these kids...

then i had some dinner with sherms at raffles city Soup Spoon. On a cold rainy day, a bowl of warm mushroom soup can launch me to cloud 9 man... i swear. Oh and the main atrium of raffles city which was previously under renovation is finally open. very nicely done i must say. Nice layout, and good brands brought in! Now raffles city is swarming with ppl!

At night i hosted for Toni & Guy Academy's Graduation Show. It's quite an honour to be hosting for them actually. I have utmost respect for their designers. Thanks to Alina for recommending me to the academy!

Congrats to the graduates!! Shaun (only 17yr old), stephanie (only 18), Odie.... and especially Helen. She's a mother of 2... previously she was a housewife for 14yrs. I think it takes a lot of determination and strength to continue learning at that age... and guess what? She was awarded the outstanding student award! great stuff! In fact i hear it's very very stressful to be a trainee at the academy... so i salute all the graduates!

After all that, i went down to Blu Jaz at haji lane to join shermeen and nabilah... didn't like the music at first.. but there was this interesting lead singer who was sharing some kinda profound philosophy... something along the lines of "to love, you must know how to unlove"... and "eat less now so you can eat more later..." ... hahaha she could just add a tune to those words and she'd have a whole new song there.

There was this other jazz band playing at the 1st level of Blu Jaz when i went down to have some snacks... the band's called "Ayaschool and the 3 crazy guests". It consisted of a pianist, saxist, basist and a drummer/singer. Each and every one of them brilliant in their own rights. They played such lovely music and their chemistry was good! Lovely... u can catch them at Blu jaz every saturday 930pm to 1am.

That concluded my day. a wonderfully eventful day that i wouldn't want to forget. that's why i'm blogging it. hahahah.

Speaking of music, i notice that techno music is really losing its creativity. When i was hosting for the event i mentioned in my previous entry, there was this song that the DJ played and it went like this:

They know what is what
But they don't know what is what
they just strut
What the F***

Those were the ONLY lyrics of the song! Haha of course the F word was censored. But i mean, WHUD??? for the sake of coming up with a new song, they have lyrics like that? So the question is, do they know what is what or don't they? and what the hell is what??

Oh here's a lame riddle for all of ya!

Which part of the house does the sheep like most?

Jonny the Riddler?

Today Corrine msgd me and desperately asked me for a riddle.... Hahah i thought she was going through tremendous stress that she needed some lame shit to calm her down... but apparently it's cos she needed to 'contribute a riddle' during her office party. Don't really know what that means, but I'm amazed that my riddles are recognized enough to be used in public/social settings. MUAHAHAH. i'm the king of the world! Soon, they will start putting my riddles into O level MCQs! then, the prime minister will use them in National Day Rallies! Maybe J.K. Rowling would write a book of " Harry Potter and the Riddle of Bewilderment". Next, philosophers would ponder over them, each coming up with their own interpretation that would spurn generations of followers... all of them brought down to their knees by questions that couldn't even make a hyena laugh. Such is the power... of the riddle. Heed my warning, and heed it well. hehehe

Just watched Bleach episode 141. So touching. and so saddening. It's always heart-wrenching to leave behind people you love so much, especially when the circumstances are unfair. What if you only could say goodbye (forever) to only ONE person in this whole world before you leave... and the worst part is that the person won't be able to hear or see you when you're saying farewell...

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Louis!!! thanks for being you. You're such a great guy. May all ur wishes come true! *MELODIC tune* hahahaha

Why did the robber pour ice over himself??
COs the policeman told him to "FREEZE!"

The new things... part 1

Things around me are going through a change right now... Some of these changes are rather exciting... and sometimes inspiring.

My new phone. Sony Ericsson w580i. Also known as what-took-them-so-long-to-come-up-with-this-phone. It's a beauty. Like how one british guy commented while watching his subway sandwich being prepared, it's "smashing". Sleek, cool colours, lovely sound quality, extremely light. I can't stop fondling this baby. It's like calling out to me: "Yeah... that's right... push my button... right there...oooohhh ure turning me on. literally."

Frujch is going through a renovation now. Gonna have lovely bold colours. AND an exciting menu with loadsa food!! look out for it! but i still hope they can increase the temperature in the place actually. It's freezinggggg...

And i also wished they didn't have to paint over my giraffes. I drew and painted them free-hand ok?!?! this is cruelty to giraffes!! call the SPCA!!

Sticky Situations: The masking tape fights back.

Look out for Sticky Situations 2: The booger that just didn't let go.

Jo just started working at Ice-cream cafe. We went down to visit her at night. Yeap they actually make their staff stick out their tongue while on shift.

Kidding. It was a slip of the tongue. Pun fully intended. haha

No that ain't my tongue. that was the tip of the cone.

We were taking pictures of our fakest smiles, and Erfain won my vote for having the fakest one.

Yeah we kinda destroyed the picture. we were laughing like hell though. haha.

Another change i had over the weekend was that i hosted my 1st ever dinner and dance! woohoo! i'll post abt that one separately... maybe when i get my pictures.
Lame riddle: this one's longer than my usual riddles...
One day a motivational speaker tried to use visuals for his audience. So he did this: stretch a sanitary pad and unzipped his pants. What was he trying to communicate?

Ted Baker in town? So is Jonny Baker. ( & Lame Riddle #6)

Yes yes i know this blog is turning out to be some kinda food blog (bloody cafe cartel and Crystal Jade! why haven't they approached me to endorse them yet?!?! hahaha)... hopefully this will be my last food entry till... er... next week perhaps. muhahaha.

But u see, i MUST blog this. Today, i finally kicked start my baking rituals again after a long long abstinence. the baking recipe book i received as my bday present is the main catalyst in this. Plus the fact that i have lots of time nowadays. hehe..

And instead of baking my usual cookies and muffins and cakes, i decided to try pies! and today's specialty was.... QUICHE! hehe mushroom quiche, to be exact.

That's my workspace... small little table space in the kitchen.. hehe. well a skillful chef like me wouldn't need too much space to perform my magic, would i? muahahah.

This is my FIRST attempt... haha made a few mistakes here and there... but it tasted alright!! i'm gonna make my family the guinea pigs for this one... hehehe shhhhh... as u can see, my mum already tried some! luckily she said it was nice. My dad and Justin said it was good too! (or maybe they're being nice. SIGH)

Well here's the final (and hopefully better) attempt! The mushrooms don't look as abundant as the previous one, but it certainly looked and smelled tastier. I'm gonna let sherms and her family try this one. *cross fingers*

Similar to my previous stuff i baked before, it's just so scary to actually see what goes into the dish. the amount of butter, cream and eggs... yikey doodles. it's no joke. that's why my policy (as a responsible friend and baker) is to give my guinea pigs small amounts of the food... enough to let them taste the heavenly, scrumptious, mouthwatering masterpiece (yeah, right), but not enough to raise their chances of dying from heart attack or diabetes. That's what i call baking with a heart, man. Oh my, i'm so noble!! can't take it!! wooohhooo!!

Anyway here's a lame riddle! This should be simple!

What do you call people who steal quiches in the Bahamas?
PIE-rates of the Carribean!! muahaha. okay i know it's damn lame. so bite me. keke.
