Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008!

Well well... here we are... finally, it's 2008! what a year it has been for 2007... I've been through quite a lot during the year. It wasn't my favourite year, but it's one to be remembered, still.

My new year's countdown wasn't spectacular. I don't really like crowds anyway. So after having dinner with my parents and their friends at Jurong Country Club, i went back home to play wii with malik and chao (again)... hahaha. It was a nice, cosy, funny session. We turned on the TV just before midnight to see the countdown... and after it was done, one of the hosts was in the crowd asking the people about their resolutions. One particular guy made a fool of himself. this is how it went:

Host: alright i'm here with some crazy people in the crowd. let me ask them... (turns to person next to him) so what are your new year resolutions?

Guy A: Mohammad Rahimi here!

Host: Sorry?

Guy A: Mohammad Rahimi here!

Host: Alright, cool! (turns to someone else) so what are YOur resolutions for the new year?

...
Hahahahaha how embarrasing!!! gosh i wouldn't wanna be in his shoes. hahaha what a way to start the new year! Anywayssss so yeah i was thinking about my new year resolutions. There are quite a few i wanna accomplish in 2008...

1) Save the Earth: Now i know global warning and climate change are the 2 most over-used terms of the year.... but it's a serious matter. more serious than the hollywood scriptwriters' guild protests that resulted in a premature conclusion of Heroes season 2.

So here's what i'm gonna do to play my part.
I'm gonna use the re-usable bags when i go grocery shopping. if u think about it, how many plastic bags are used by just one trip to the supermarket? 5, maybe? then the next time u go there u use another 5. Why not just use one re-usable bag? If everyone uses it, it would be a HUGE benefit to the environment.

Next i'm gonna reduce the usage of my air-conditioning. I'm an addict to sleeping with the air-con switched on. So i'm gonna change. I'm only gonna switch it on if it's just too darn warm. Also, it's proven that sleeping too often with air-conditioning is bad for your lungs. so yeah. Kill 2 stones with one bird. (?) hmmm.

2) I'm gonna start being nicer to my dog, Chloe. Looking at it, she doesn't have much longer to live. She's been coughing and having several seizures. She's been with me for 12 - 13 years. I want her final moments with me to be good.

3) Learn something new: like a language (preferably Japanese), musical instrument (my guitar which i regret neglecting for some time), or sport (probably wakeboarding or something cheaper)

4) Read more: Books, newspapers, magazines, comics. There's just so much to know about our world in such a short time!

5) Be a better person. Cos the only thing perfect about me, is my eyesight. Heh. Nobody can be perfect. Doesn't mean they shouldn't try. haha.
Oh well, tt's abt it. This is the year that my life will change... and i hope it's for the better! Happy new year to all my friends! love u guys much!

Wii Wish you a Merry Christmas,,,,

So Xmas day's over... I had quite a good few days leading up to Xmas day. Firstly, on sunday I finished my last gig as Santa Claus @ Junction8! Haha. It was a fulfilling and heartwarming job... really loved touching the hearts of all the little ones. You know it's a good feeling to make little kids smile, and yet NOT have full resposibility over them. Hahaha.

That's a nice little picture of my darling and her very own Santa. Haha kinda kinky thoughts coming to my mind... "come, little girl, come sit on my lap... " hahahha

Anyways on Xmas eve, Sherms and i had an interesting trip down to the shop at Sim Lim where i bought my Wii. We were there to buy the Wii remotes, and it turned out to be an ego-boosting session!

Firstly, in the cab along the way to Sim Lim, the taxi driver said that judging by the way i dressed, he thought i wasn't local... (which by any means, could be considered a compliment actually). He said i looked Korean... and he thought i was rich and assumed i stayed in landed property!! hahah

then at the shop, one of the shop assistants told me that he found my 'goatie' (which i call lip hair) sexy... hahaha and one of the bosses complimented sherms... said that i was a lucky guy. hahah indeed, indeed.

Then when i got back home, it was time to feast! As of previous years, mum would prepare some ready-made turkey and ham... and loads of dessert! We had 3 rounds of dessert! Mangoes, log cake and haagen Dazs ice cream. in that particular order. haha.

And after that, my family (minus my parents) played wii!! Hahah it was so damn fun... and it left us with sore arms thereafter. (to all my friends who have Wii, go get Mario & Sonic at the Olympics! )

Christmas Day:

This was the day we celebrated Chao's bday. i decided that it would be a cookout session! So i got malik and zhichao over to help me prepare the stuff. We had soup with
bread, some salad, sausages and pizza! haha simple enough.

Those 2 jokers piled the pizza with truckloads of cheese... and the cheese ended up spilling over the sides after it was baked. haha

Charlene bought us some shirts from her work-related trip in USA. We were worried that she got us some stupid shirt like the ones she got us from HK... that said "I'm sentimental, so treat me gentle." To our relief, there were nice Old Navy shirts. Thanks Char!
And of cos, how can we forget to cap off the night with some Wii action!!
Haha hope u enjoyed the celebration, chao! Happy Belated Birthday!!
On a side note, i realise i'm becoming addicted to the Korean Drama "Prince of Legends" Jumong... on cable channel 55. hahah it's super interesting! and i just get so tickled at how they constipated they look when they're in deep thought... ahahha

This the weekend to be busy.... falalalala lalalala

I had a very eventful saturday... it first started off at Thomson plaza. I swear it's such an 'ulu' mall. it's so hard to get there! but i was surprised at the completeness of it! they have everything there! a supermarket, furniture place, boutique stores, restaurants, even pet shops! haha

anyway back to the topic... i started off the day being Santa!! hahah so cool!! and i had to speak like him too! "Ho Ho Ho! Meeerrry Christmas!"

It was a very touching experience for me. Kids would be so happy to see me... some came up to me and asked "Santa? can i have my presents this year?" Hahaha so adorable. I just love bringing smiles to these kids...

then i had some dinner with sherms at raffles city Soup Spoon. On a cold rainy day, a bowl of warm mushroom soup can launch me to cloud 9 man... i swear. Oh and the main atrium of raffles city which was previously under renovation is finally open. very nicely done i must say. Nice layout, and good brands brought in! Now raffles city is swarming with ppl!

At night i hosted for Toni & Guy Academy's Graduation Show. It's quite an honour to be hosting for them actually. I have utmost respect for their designers. Thanks to Alina for recommending me to the academy!

Congrats to the graduates!! Shaun (only 17yr old), stephanie (only 18), Odie.... and especially Helen. She's a mother of 2... previously she was a housewife for 14yrs. I think it takes a lot of determination and strength to continue learning at that age... and guess what? She was awarded the outstanding student award! great stuff! In fact i hear it's very very stressful to be a trainee at the academy... so i salute all the graduates!

After all that, i went down to Blu Jaz at haji lane to join shermeen and nabilah... didn't like the music at first.. but there was this interesting lead singer who was sharing some kinda profound philosophy... something along the lines of "to love, you must know how to unlove"... and "eat less now so you can eat more later..." ... hahaha she could just add a tune to those words and she'd have a whole new song there.

There was this other jazz band playing at the 1st level of Blu Jaz when i went down to have some snacks... the band's called "Ayaschool and the 3 crazy guests". It consisted of a pianist, saxist, basist and a drummer/singer. Each and every one of them brilliant in their own rights. They played such lovely music and their chemistry was good! Lovely... u can catch them at Blu jaz every saturday 930pm to 1am.

That concluded my day. a wonderfully eventful day that i wouldn't want to forget. that's why i'm blogging it. hahahah.

Speaking of music, i notice that techno music is really losing its creativity. When i was hosting for the event i mentioned in my previous entry, there was this song that the DJ played and it went like this:

They know what is what
But they don't know what is what
they just strut
What the F***

Those were the ONLY lyrics of the song! Haha of course the F word was censored. But i mean, WHUD??? for the sake of coming up with a new song, they have lyrics like that? So the question is, do they know what is what or don't they? and what the hell is what??

Oh here's a lame riddle for all of ya!

Which part of the house does the sheep like most?

My Legs Scream for Help...

What a weekend! Spent both saturday and sunday hosting at Funan Mall for the launch of ELAN online, a multiplayer online Role-playing game... (gee... God knows how many times i've said that...) It was pretty alright... the best thing about it? The people. From the event planners, to the organisers - they were all very nice! Got along with them pretty well... at least i hope i did. Heh. Big hello to new friends (in no order of merit, friendliness, attractiveness, height, gender, bloodtype, dialect or preferred mode of transport): Gary, Shandy, Michelle, Melissa, Hansen, Julia, Andrew, Zoe and June!

The worst thing about the event? I had to stand for like, 8 hours each day, trying to get the attention of people walking pass... ugh. My knees almost went on strike.

Cute costumes for the cosplayers. Too bad some of them didn't fit perfectly.

During the event, one of the participants of one of the contests told me i look like Wang Li Hom, the singer. i'm like, why do ppl think that way!?!?! Some others told me that too. Really meh?!?

Just this morning (monday), i played badminton with sherms, malik and Zhichao... What a workout. Who would have known that a mere 45 minute session of badminton could make you perspire so much! All the lunges and the scurrying back and forth really gave my legs a 'run' for its money. pun fully intended. Now not only my knees hurt, my thighs and my ass muscles are sore. So sore that i feel 'sore-ry' for them. Muahahaha.

At this point, i would like to dig my nose. In addition, i'd also like to apologise to Janet... I'm so so sorry babe, for missing your bday and didn't give u any well wishes on the day itself! ARGH! i feel so bad! but hey i got present for ya! Hope to meet u up soon!!

Once again, the Japanese crack me up!

We've seen many quirky Japanese stuff... and this gameshow is definitely one of those that split my sides!! How come we don't get these kind of games in S'pore?!? sigh...

This is how 'Wii' play...

Ah hah! wonderful! the exams are finally over! The Sun of gratification and relief has once again risen, beaming its rays from the horizon! Wooohooo! Time to PARTY!! *does the can can*

The moment i walked out of the exam room on my last paper, I went off to look for Sherms. While waiting for her to have her hair done, I spent some time with my dear exchange friend, Fabienne, who was also joining sherms and I for lunch. She's flying off today. sigh. gonna miss her. Bon Voyage, babe! I'll get in touch with you when i travel to Europe!

And Sherms definitely celebrated HER end-of-term in style too! haha she got her hair dyed! Nice shades of red! I love our hair-stylist. hahah I'm also thinking of colouring my hair a little. Just don't know what colour would be suitable for me. Any ideas?

In the evening I went to Rachel's place for our scheduled SBM Wii Party! We did a project on Nintendo for the SBM course, and it was only right that we celebrated it the way we did! With a Nintendo Wii! here are some pictures and videos of the amazingly fun time we had!!

Here's a video of Rachel and Christine playing boxing on Wii Sports. Hahaha hilarious.

And here's one of us playing Wii Tennis!

HAha within 2 days i've been asked by 5 different people where from and how much i got my Wii for. I got it from Sim Lim... one of the shops on the outskirts of level 1. Gaming Industries or Games Industries or something like that. haha. I sorta know the guy there now so if you need help in buying a Wii, let me know! (PS: be prepared to pay a bit more for a modified one. heh.)

What i would tell you is that although it does cost a bit more, but in the long run, u will get many valuable returns. You can't put a price tag on the fun and laughter you share with the people you care about.

Happy Birthday to the best girlfriend in the world!

It's just past 12 midnight on 29th November, and a special feeling tingles in my heart. This day, 22 years ago, the love of my life was born. The circumstances under which we met and got together were rather quirky and yet memorable... nonetheless, since then, my life has really brightened up.

I dedicate this whole entry to Sherms... my partner in life, my Rukia, my bunny... the girl i can only be angry at for 10 minutes max... the one who can make me smile even without saying a word... who can make me laugh just by being herself. Thank the Heavens for bringing you into this world, and into my life... Happy Birthday my darling... may joy and love continue to flood into ur life... and may you smile more often in the new year.. You know how it melts me inside when you smile...

PS: ARGH WE GOT A BLOODY EXAM in a Few Hours Time!!!

HOW ON EARTH?!?!!

You know, i'm a BIG fan of magic tricks. I absolutely adore trying to figure out the secret behind the tricks! Criss Angel and David Blaine have taken it to a level that is incomprehensible: street magic. Right infront of the masses.

watch these 2 videos, and be amazed. the 1st one is a japanese street magician, and the other is Criss angel.

it ALWAYS baffles me! HOW THE HELL DO THEY DO IT?!?!

With that, i conclude my presentation. Thank You.

While i bitched about my term in my previous entry, i actually am very proud of my project
presentations this term thus far. They've been rather memorable!

I love my dance: east & west presentation! we were all dressed in white... and i was wearing a lady's scarf! knew i always had it in me.

Oh yes of cos my advertising project was GREAT too!! we went thru soooo many trials and brainstorming. Glad our efforts paid off. Love u guys! Screw the clients!

And who could forget my SBM group, which did the project on Nintendo~! and in which Louis and I were dressed as Mario and Luigi! hahaha... Such a fun topic with such a fun group!! what else could i say?? And John Davis rocks man! PLEASE take SBM under him! John for President!!! woohoo!!! Can't wait for our Wii party this coming friday!!

The long awaited...

Oh gosh. has it been 3 over weeks since i last updated my blog already?! geee. haha goes to show how busy i've been. And indeed these few weeks have been nothing short of crazy. Project presentations, report deadlines, assessments and all. MAN am i glad it's over. Still have the exams but STILL. what a relief. i can't wait for the term to end.

i'm just gonna let off some steam now. WHAT A BLOODY F**K*Gw2#@#%$^&% term it has been!!!

Right. anyways. I also just had my 1st long awaited Wii Party!!! It was a gathering with CHarlene, Malik and chao for char's bday celebration. How's this for a bday dinner: Ramlee burger, fried chicken & kebab from Pasar malam. Hahaha. hey it's awesome food. believe it.

Bought my dear sis an Esprit watch. She liked it! yay! hahah. let's hope she doesn't damage/misplace/pawn it when she's in USA next week. Happy birthday again, char!!

It was so so much fun!!! Wii is just totally awesome. Can't wait for my next wii party this coming friday!!
What i can't understand is how the hell is charlene so good at shaking the wii controller. There's this game where we had to shake the controller as fast as we can, and charlene beats all 3 of us!!! Hahahaha think guys would be quite "turned on" if they saw how well she could shake it. HAHAHA i told her it looked damn wrong.

Having a BALL of a time...

This is what happened last wednesday at Frujch: Beer Pong Championships!!

It's the 3rd installment, and it gets better EVERY time. hahaha and this time we had a instructional video to go along with it! Check it out! It's hilarious! Sherms did a great job on it. I'm her fan...

And here are some pictures (of me) of the event... The atmosphere was just terrific. People screaming non-stop, and the excitement was buzzing from start to finish!

... And the crowd goes wild!! ---->

What a night! too bad i was drugged by a shot of vodka at the end. Hahahaha. Boy that was strong. Anyways the event was a success!!

Frujch... I have found my happy place. Have you?
No seriously, if you haven't tried the sandwiches like Port-a-bello Cheese or Rosemary Me, and the milkshakes there, you don't know what you're missing out. Give it a try... just once. I'm sure you'll like it.

Me and my Wii...

I finally bought it!! THANK YOU MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE!! Muahahaha.

Well to get the Wii, i had to go through quite a lot of ordeal. First, there was the agonizing wait. I had to look around for the best price. Then there was the CHEAT. I got cheated into buying the "cheaper" japanese version, which could play NO game in singapore. Then came the remedy. I had to change my set into a modified one in order to play games. And so i did. for another $300+. I'll leave you to guess how much i spent on this Wii... cos i don't wanna talk about it no more. The most important thing is, that i have my Wii. that's all that matters. Hahaha.

Wii would like to play!!

More cool Japanese Stuff!

Now we all have established that Japan is one WACKY country... I was recording for my Campus Radio Show (into my 11th week now... so for those of you who haven't listened to it yet, i'm disappointed. hahha)... and the topic was about Inventions. According to my girlfriend, the Japanese are crazy with inventions... so after doing some research, she was right! check these out!

The Man Breasts are just gross. And as for the other one... wouldn't the chopsticks be heavy?

This picture left me speechless.

But this one takes the cake. Suction helmet thingie. I'm sure you can see what it's used for. I personally felt that this invention was very useful, especially if it's used in S'pore too! I mean, ever so often, we have people dozing off on the train, and it would be quite embarrasing if the one next to you dozed off with his head on your shoulder. haha...
In my SBM class, there's this Japanese Exchange student and he was learning mandarin. He moved over to me and said in chinese "I will make you happy..."... I freaked out, but i realised he was just trying to see if i understood. hahaha. I then went on to teach him how to say "I want to eat your tofu" and "I want to make love to you" in mandarin as well. Muahahahah. He says he has aspirations to get a chinese gf. hahaha.

Spare me my life!

I posted something about a japanese exercise video before... i only put the link there, but since i've learnt to embed the video onto my blog, i might as well! so here it is once again for your enjoyment! hahaha!

The (Red) Devil's Advocate

This would be my 1st sports-related entry. I watched bits and pieces of the the match between my beloved Manchester United and Middlesborough. And as of all Man U fans out there, our hearts sang gleefully as Man U once again put up a dazzling display of world-class, dazzling soccer... brushing Middlesborough aside 4-1. It's the 4th consecutive time that Man U has scored 4 goals... But it's not the goals that impress me. It's their confidence and brand of attacking football. It's such joy to watch.
This is a lead-up to their match against League leaders Arsenal next weekend. What a titanic battle in the horizon. Arsenal, who have been God-like in their football, might prove too much for Manchester United to handle. At the moment, the gunners look like they can do no wrong. But one (or 2) season ago, it took Man U to stop Chelsea's formidable form. Can they do it the same to Arsenal? and once again restore equilibrium in favour of themselves, the rightful rulers? We'll find out. Just so u know, i'm prepared for a Man U loss. anything else is a bonus. Nevertheless, i'll always be proud of them.
Onto other stuff.
If you're a driver, you would agree with me that sometimes you encounter motorcyclists who are just suicidal on the roads. They zip past you, tailgate, squeeze into the smallest of gaps between vehicles... and they're always speeding! I mean, don't they realise that the slightest touch from another vehicle would send them flying? their bodies might be then deformed or shattered by the oncoming traffic? And for some reason, i get the feeling that they ENJOY these thrill rides of theirs. SURE. go ahead and live life as though the tragic deaths of other riders will never happen to them. Laugh while you do so. Just remember while you are airbourne, and about the hit the ground head-first, U ASKED FOR IT.

Excuse me, i need to go to the Flu.

Gee it's been sooo long since i last made an entry. Been so bogged down by work... and as you probably guessed by now, i was down with a flu. The culprit? Fried Food and snacks. Yeap the very things that keep us going when our days are tough... the very things that pick us up when we are down... turned out to be my nemesis in disguise. Oh how vile you are! Perish, you will when i recover. I will consume every one of you so that none of my other fellow human beings would have to suffer from your venom. Be gone!

Ehem. Right. Anyways My parents just came back from Chiang Mai 2 days ago! BOOOOOOo! now EVERYONE in my family has been to Thailand except me!!!! Sigh.

anyways i was looking through some videos my mum took at the Elephant park, and it's just so heartwarming to see how deep a connection the thais had with their elephants.

Oh she filmed the elephants playing soccer!! How Elephantastic! And it's not some clumsy elephant tripping over a ball you know... the elephant could actually take a penalty kick! So cool!

And here's a picture that the elephant painted!!! Ain't that amazing?! I'm telling ya. Animals are taking over the world. High time they did. And when they do, i just want them to know that i'm on their side. muahaha.

On another note:

Just read from the news today that Singapore's trying to more gender equal when it comes to sexual abuse cases. So that means that guys can claim sexual harrasment as much as girls can. HAh!! finally! so you girls who have been trying to hit on me, WATCH OUT! muahahaha. Just because you don't exist doesn't mean i can't sue you!!

Cheeky Business

Today while on my way to class, i stopped by Kopitiam to get my lunch from the economical rice stall. This is what i experienced:

This non-chinese guy (i think he's malay) who was serving someone else, was just mimicking his chinese colleagues by adressing the customer as 'shuai ge' (handsome guy), then laughing to himself about it, and after that he went on by asking "hai you leh?" (anything else?)... and STILL chuckling to himself. It was just interesting watching him.

Then when i proceeded to pay for my food, i asked the cashier to give me a pair of chopsticks as well. He cheekily said "chopsticks add 20 cents". I said something along the lines of "NO WAYyyy"... and he replied "YES WAY"... and the he smiled. He was kidding, of cos. hahaha

Thinking abt it, it was so lame. but somehow, i walked away from that store smiling. Something abt that made me feel good. That's the power of service. it's the little things. haha

Wise man says: Fruit that has flown a thousand miles will burn hole in pocket.

Wow it's been a long time since i updated! woops! sorry folks! Think i've been too busy recently. Well let's see, what's there to update on... Oh yes i went for lunch with shermeen and her family on sunday (14th oct) at Red Star Restaurant... Apparently they have quite good dim sum!

That's sherms with her favourite dim sum of all time: the chestnut cake thingie. See, it's so important to her that i don't know what it's called. Wait... that didn't make sense. *sheepish* hehe sorry dear!

We then proceeded to Liang Court to shop around... we first went to kinokuniya, then to the supermarket in basement 1, called Meidi-Ya... They have imported Japanese foods there... what totally blew my mind was the prices. check it out:

Exhibit A

Rockmelon: $89.90
Man. That certainly rocked MY melons. Hmmm. that sounded wrong.

Exhibit B

Siew Pek Chye: $8.90
And that's even before cooking it with garlic and soy sauce.

But i DID enjoy the lovely Japanese ice-cream!! YUMMY. They had flavours like sweet potato, and black sesame (the same thing u get from tang yuan)! and oh their melon flavour was good too! I swear the best things in life come from Japan.

Other japanese products i'm looking to acquire in the near future:
Nintendo Wii!!!
A new Sony Camera
More Japanese Ice cream

So anyways. Sherms, nab, shal, Erfen and myself went to Shal's place to watch The Producers AGAIN. We enjoyed it once more... laughed quite a lot. Keep it light, keep it fun, keep it gay!!
Oh before that we went to Geylang Surai to buy some malay goodies for dinner! Man, i wish i could live in a pasar malam!

Okie dokie... back to my busy life. ugh i so need a haircut. that's like so random. just like how i love men's lifestyle magazines.

Adults amuse me too.

Yeah they do. but in a different way. Sometimes they behave so childishly... and, dare i say it? Stupidly.

Just read the New paper article about motorcycle gangs... and how they hack rival gang members to death. I'm thinking, these guys are at least young adults. Some of them old enough to tell the difference between butterflies and moths. And yet, because of some childish staring incidents or plain grim rivalry, they fight.

This one takes the cake: in New Paper as well... about one guy in Bt Panjang who saw the neighbour staring at him. He walks over to the neighbour's flat, and demanded for him to come out. When that didn't happen, he started to violently hammer the windows. The windows broke, and his arms bled so profusely that he fainted.
All i can say is... HAHAHAHAHAHA. deserved it.

But you get my point about them being foolish?

I also read this article abt this family of expats who left singapore for KL... and within one week, they were violated 2ce. Once by a burglar, and another time by some 'religion police'.
They talked about how they miss S'pore and all, at the same time mentioning all the perks of living in Malaysia (Cheaper houses, cars, people smile more.. etc). But if you ask me, nothing is more valuable than being assured that your loved ones will be home safely everyday. You can't put a price tag on that.

Kids... they never fail to amuse me...

Please be prepared to go laugh ur heart out at this video. hahaha THANKS TO JANET for sending this video to me. haha!!

She does it so well, i suspect that she invented that line. So darn funny!!! hahah i so wish to meet this girl in person. better still, i PRAY i'll have a daughter like her. hahaha wouldn't you want one like her!?!? You don't?!?! well, like, WHATEVER.

Here's a picture i took sometime back... i forgot if i posted it up before. i just LURVE the captions at the side of the raunchy pictures of the tech-chicks... hahah. so damn suggestive. And this is STRAITS TIMES lehhhhh. hahaa.

Click on the pic for an enlarged version!

This world's a circus

This is Louis showing off how huge his mouth is. Craps. You could park a whole lorry in there. Hahaha. Maybe he could be featured in the next season of Heroes... and his powers include being able to eat up all the other heroes. and burping very loudly.

Anyway the weekend and the recess is FINALLY here!!! yeah i can't wait for a fantastic week ahead full of project meetings!!! WWWHHEEEEE!!!! ............... sigh.

But I will be watching a bit of Boston Legal i think.... JUST started watching the first season on DVD. It's a clever, funny, touching, and yet provocative show! hahaha Anybody wants the DVD let me know. =)

I DO hope to have a whole day with my gf or something. Haven't spent a lot of quality time with her actually, despite seeing every day.

Now everyone, pls... while i know it's just a recess, and it probably means little to anyone, but take time off to have a meal with your family, watch a movie with some friends... stuff like that. Chill. Life's too short to be stressed over school. We have bigger things in life to worry about. Like whether Ichigo (in Bleach) rescues the damsel in distress. And whether its possible to actually sing the ketchup song in Mongolian. Or whether turkeys really originate from Turkey.

School? pfft. that's like a hamster's dropping compared to all that.

Weekend Wonder...

I hosted for 2 different events over the weekend... Explorer Kid Amazing Race at Downtown east on both saturday and Sunday morning.. and voice-over for CK Tangs 75th Anniversary.

For the former, it was quite a terror travelling from CCK to Pasir Ris, and back again!! gosh. Thank God for PSP. But it was reaaaaallly nice hosting that event cos the families there were so enthusiastic!! And as usual, kids were just sticking to me... hahaha but they were adorable. Okay, most of them were. Think the superlative on facebook that Charlene gave me was true... that i'm "Most Likely to get marriage proposals from 6-year olds" hahaha anyway I had fun! hope to host for them again soon!

The VO for Tangs was fun too! One of the few times i remain in the shadows while making announcements... usually i'm upstage. However the only people who got to go upstage were these 3 ladies, named the Dreamgirls, who were engaged to perform for the event. Here's a video of them. Check it out~

Something pissed me off. Big time. I was going home on saturday night... boarded the bus 190 from opposite Far East Shopping Centre, headed to the last row to sit down. There were 2 seats to the right that were empty. The guy sitting in the centre had to make way for me to sit on the seats. The moment i sat down, my butt started to feel cold, and wet. F**k! i sat on air-conditioning condensed water. I move to the seat next to it, and it was wet too! I got off the seat, and asked the guy in the centre: "The seats wet?" although i already knew the answer to that one, but i wanted to see if HE knew about it. STUPIDLY, he said "Yeah, they're wet..." i mean WTF?!?! and he couldn't be BOTHERED to warn me before i sat down!?!?! wouldn't any NORMAL person at least warn anyone who intends to sit there??? Whatever happened to courtesy, to being nice, to bloody having some conscience???

Anyways...*inhales deeply to calm thyself*... i saw this video on youtube... and it's about this swedish female gameshow host and how she puked while hosting the show. Have a look. No i'm not poking fun at her.

Apparently she was having menstrual discomfort at that pt in time, and usually it makes her nauseous... But look at the way she carried herself. Impressive. professional. She endured the discomfort to host the show, and when shit hit the fan (or in this case, vomit hit the floor), she still remained composed. Respect.
